NATURE and freaks of.

A fishing trip turned freestyle wonder in the woods with my camera after landing my first cast in a tree and losing 2 spinners...the fish weren't biting anyway. I used an ND8 filter on my 28mm and 18-70 lenses to slow down my exposure time. I believe all of these were taken at f11 with a 2sec shutter time. I'm pretty happy with how the movement of the water was captured, and over all I think the exposure is good. But, these could be better. I'd like to see some of the hot spots reduced. I think a polarizing filter stacked on my ND8 filter would really help with cutting down the reflection off the sky, and let the under laying textures come through.Call me fussy but I have to be. I believe one needs to view their own work like it's their enemies, otherwise it's easy to get caught up it your own stuff and little inperfections can be over looked. It's a good thing to be critical. It keeps me pushing and striving to do better and better work. It's like the carrot hanging in front of the horses nose, I can smell it, see it and almost taste it but can't quite reach it. And that's what keeps me going. What keeps you going?

If that waterfall's in Durham Bridge, I've been there.
