Ok so you may notice a little trend in my last couple of blog posts, nature. Here's why. When living in a city I feel like I lose touch with, at the risk of sounding like a flake, nature. But it's true. When you live in a city your attention is stolen by roaring vehicles, people, lights, and other city noise (whatever that may be). It's not like we choose to look up when we hear the sound of someone laying on their horn because Joe Blow decided to jay walk. It ripping and tearing, it's harsh and constant and sometimes hard to block out. It really can get annoying. In Nature we can sit and focus our attention of anything of our choosing almost without interruption. When our attention is caught it's light and subtle (unless you're being chased by giant dragon flies but that's another storey), like a duck in the water. Much less abrasive isn't it? Here's all I can say if you live in a city go for a hike, go fishing, or just sit in the forrest. You'll thank yourself. Your sanity might even depend on it. I know it might not be easy to get out to the woods, but I think a park with some trees might almost do the trick. And, if you bring your camera along you might catch a dear in the bush, or try out some long silky exposures. Mmmmmm silky exposures. Oh man, it's getting late and I'm getting weird. Time to stop writing. Cheers for now folks :)
