Ring light of fire

This is one of my first shots using a diy ring light of my lovely girlfriend. I used a minolta 28mm at f2.8 to create a shallow depth of field and to showoff the catch light in her eyes. I think the light is evenly distributed, skin looks milky, and I'd never believe she just came off a 8hr nursing shift! Wanna know how I did it?
